EMC opens new technology hub in India | | 2009-09-23 | | | EMC is to triple its investment in its Indian subsidiary to $1.5 billion over the next five years.The announcement marked the opening of a new technology campus in Bangalore. At nearly 500,000 square feet, the Centre of Excellence consolidates EMC’s existing Indian R&D, Global Services and other technical organizations into one new state of the art hub. It will be EMC’s largest research facility outside the US. The CoE will initially employ 3,500 people.Sarv Saravanan, Vice President and Managing Director, India Centre of Excellence said of the inauguration, "This investment is an important milestone in our journey to having world-class R&D and services organizations located in India.
